The Associated Students of Fort Lewis College met in the senate chambers of the Student Union for an extended, two-hour meeting Wednesday evening.

Adhering to parliamentary decorum, the table moved through a laundry list of agenda topics, including the Campus Sustainability Council’s Initiative-Grant; discussion over the 2015 Ideas For Innovation; and, an officer-run interactive online event calendar for FLC’s Registered Student Organizations.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the ever-prevalent question is always on our minds: What are your plans for the day? As the months have passed, my view on love and what a happily ever after looks like has drastically changed.

Student Union Productions is scheduled to host their annual music festival, Skyfest. SUP members are hard at work, with the festival now less than a month away.

The Bed Rally Race tradition was brought out of remission at this years Snowdown by the students of the Fort Lewis College event management class.

In Oct. 2014, the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College proposed a new student fee to raise funds to compensate members of ASFLC with a scholarship.

The world after graduation can be a scary prospect, especially with only a six-month grace period before student loan payments begin. Because of this it can be very important for graduates to land stable jobs right out of college.

We, as a culture, have romanticized the apocalypse immensely. Look at the more recent bloating in zombie culture, be it the “Walking Dead” -- which I admittedly am enthralled with, “World War Z”, or “Warm Bodies”.

Every year Durango holds a themed, community-based event called Snowdown. The theme for this year’s five-day, annual Snowdown event is steampunk. Many are left scratching their head about this year's theme, not many people seem to know much about the subgenre of steampunk.
