Avid Facebook users at Fort Lewis College have likely come across the FLC Confessions. Many of these pages are popping up from colleges across the country.
Lindsay Nyquist, the FLC social media coordinator and web developer, said she found out about the page the day it launched. It is her job to monitor for mentions of “Fort Lewis College” and “FLC” in the news.
“It’s not something we were looking forward to,” Nyquist said. “But we knew it was coming.”

More gender neutral bathrooms on campus

Luke Knudsen and Charles Eagan proposed more gender neutral restrooms on campus to the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College Senate on Wed., Oct. 23. There are currently 15 gender neutral bathrooms on campus. They are located in Berndt, Kroeger, Pine, Reed Library, the Student Life Center, and the Student Union Building. Residence halls are not included and these are public restrooms.

 Criterion five judges the school’s planning for resources, budget and effectiveness through a few core components.

The Lost and Found

As students busy schedules may lead to absent-mindedness, misplacing and forgetting important items can happen with ease. Luckily, there is a place where these lost and found possessions may be located.

The front desk in the Student Union hosts a “lost and found” box, where all students who find a misplaced items or who are looking for their own are encouraged to go.

The Takeaway from “You Can’t Take It With You”

The Fort Lewis College Theatre Department and cast members of the play “You Can’t Take It With You” have dedicated much time and talent in preparing for the October premier.

The play, written by George Kaufman and Moss Hart in 1936, provides a comedic twist to a classic love story, said Felicia Meyer, a visiting professor and the director of “You Can’t Take It With You.”
