ASFLC Renews All Student Organizations

Mandy Lorenson

Associated Students of Fort Lewis College met Wednesday night to pass Registered Student Organizations renewals and to recognize the A+ Gaming.

During the meeting, action was taken to start raising awareness around campus surrounding the Brett Kavanaugh case.

Registered Student Organizations Renewal

Resolution 18-048 was approved in renewing all RSOs on campus.

The renewal of all the organizations took place with a simple majority vote.

The resolution passed with majority vote.

Raising Awareness on the Brett Kavanaugh Hearings

During the discussion portion of the meeting, Sen. Madison Klearman proposed to raise awareness on campus on issues surrounding the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.

The project is still a work in progress but the idea of hanging flyers around campus was brought up.

“I want to make sure victims and allies alike feel supported by ASFLC and the student body as a whole,” Klearman said.

The table unanimously supported this idea.

The purpose of this is to bring awareness of the resources that are available to help in situations like this.

ASFLC will not take a stance on the outcome of the hearings, Klearman said.
