Many of you may or may not have heard of the tiny house movement that has spread nationwide. If you haven’t heard, we are here to tell you. The tiny house movement is an increse of people downsizing their living situations. The benefits include having a much more affordable living situation while also being ecologically sound. Here in Durango, the Rocky Mountain Tiny House company specializes in making and distributing tiny houses. Daniel Cable-Patterson the supervisor let us behind the scenes to look at the headquarters where all the houses are made. One customer, Tracy Goddard, was also kind enough to let us into her brand new tiny house for an inside look at what living in a tiny house is really about. Not only are these houses adorable, they're a more affordable way to own a house.

Several students at Fort Lewis College had family and friends affected by the hurricanes in some way, including Daris Wienk and Wyatt Hayes.

Soccer Teams Split Weekend Series’

This weekend, the Fort Lewis College men’s and women’s soccer teams both went 1-1 in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contests.


FLC’s women were at home for both of their contests this weekend. On Friday, they faced off against the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs Cougars and lost 2-1. On Sunday, they looked to rebound against the Western State Mountaineers and won the game 2-1.

 

On the other hand, the men’s team had one game away and one game at home this weekend. On Friday, the Skyhawks traveled to Alamosa to play the Adams State Grizzlies and lost 2-1. On Sunday, FLC’s men were back home and blanked UCCS while winning the game 1-0.
