The Fort Lewis College Campus Police released a crime log detailing incidents occurring from Dec. 7 to Jan. 14.

Friday, December 7 at 12:50 a.m.

The police responded to a call in the 1100 block of 8th Ave. and arrested an adult for a DUI involving alcohol.

Friday, December 7 at 11:13 p.m.

Police responded to a call in the 1000 block of Rim Dr. concerning lost property.

Friday, December 7 at 11:25 p.m.

Police responded to a call in the 900 block of Rim Dr. concerning lost property.

Friday, December 7 at 2:20 a.m.

Officers of the FLC Police Department assisted another agency in a call to the 200 block of W 8th Ave.

Monday, December 10 at 9:40 a.m. 

Police responded to a call in the 1400 block of E. 8th Ave. involving extortion (threatening to injure reputation).

Tuesday, December 11 at 5:28 p.m.

Police responded to a call at Reed Library concerning graffiti.

Tuesday, December 11 at 3:30 p.m.

Police responded to a hit and run involving vehicle damage in the Centennial parking lot.

Wednesday, December 12 at 8:40 a.m.

Police conducted a personal security/welfare check in the 900 block of Rim Dr.

Wednesday, December 12 at 9:10 p.m.

Police responded to a civil dispute in the 100 block of Talon Ln.

Thursday, December 13 at 1:40 p.m

Police responded to a call in the 300 block of Talon Ln. concerning assault through intimidation, including stalking. Police made an arrest.

Saturday, December 15 at 3:49 a.m.

Police responded to a call for an out-of-county warrant for a misdemeanor in the 1400 block of E. 8th Ave. Police made an arrest.

Saturday, December 15 at 10:49 a.m.

Police issued a summons to appear in court for a traffic accident including vehicle damage at the corner of E. Campus Ct. and E. 8th Ave.

Sunday, December 16 at 4:04 a.m.

Police responded to a call about found property in the 100 block of Skyhawk Ave.

Police responded to a call in the concert hall parking lot concerning property damage involving a vehicle.

Efforts Made to Promote Positive Environment for Traditional Tobacco Users

Following the executive order that condemned students from smoking or vaping at Fort Lewis College, students addressed the use of traditional tobacco with a screening of “Keep it Sacred” and a panel on April 2 in the Vallecito Room in the Student Union Building.


Sara Newman, assistant professor of health sciences, asked her public health communication and education students to focus on a community on campus and the effect of the smoking ban on that community.
