Senators playing a game of Blooket, future winner Senator Anguiano in the lead
The Feb. 11 Associated Students of Fort Lewis College meeting was unique, with members of the senate participating in games including Blookets and a Kahoot in order to review the constitution and parliamentary proceedings.
Senators competed to win prizes including a guitar, a teapot, and various stress toys. Ruth Alminas, a political science professor who acts as the faculty advisor for ASFLC, had her dog, Ace, present.

Ace smiled as he walked around the room, letting people pet his brown and white fur. Ace attempted to escape three or four times, before Alminas decided to close the door to prevent further attempts.
The three winners were senators Amayah Anguiano (taking the teapot and teabags), Tyler Barnett (taking the guitar and accessories), and Lucy Pettigrew (taking the stress toys). All prizes were donations from the senators, as said in passing during the games by multiple senators.
After the games concluded, senators discussed updates in their committees, and ensured that everyone was briefed on the agenda for the following week. For their next meeting, senators plan to look at the new Student Advising model being implemented. They also spoke about a meeting that is planned for Feb. 19, which will focus on reworking the Liberal Arts Core and how students move through it.
